0326866 CD CITACD 539 9399612556823 CITADEL	NEW CHRISTS - DIVINE RITES The New Christs were originally formed by Radio Birdman and New Race vocalist Rob Younger after he was offered the support spot on Iggy Pop's Australian tour of 1984. The other members had played in groups such as Celibate Rifles, Lime Spiders and Hoodoo Gurus. The tour proved a success and the band stayed together, recording the two singles Like A Curse and Born Out Of Time for Sydney independent label Citadel Records. These releases gained acclaim for their tough and uncompromising nature and were soon released in Europe by French based label Sonics. With the prospect of an album deal and European tour possible, the other members however chose to return to their other band interests. Younger was left to pursue a career producing some of the finest upcoming Australian alternative bands. In 1986 Barracudas bass player Jim Dickson returned to Australia from the UK and together with Younger started a new line-up. Featured were Charlie Owen, a gifted but as yet unknown guitarist and drummer Louis Burdett who soon left and was replaced by Nick Fisher who had previously played with Ed Kuepper and Wet Taxis. Over the next three years, the band released a series of hard hitting singles; Black Hole, Headin' South and the EP Dropping Like Flies. The band created quite a stir by playing all over the southeast and landing two tours in Europe, including the now legendary "Gods of Grind" trek with ENTOMBED, CARCASS, and CATHEDRAL. With the release of their 1991 debut album on Earache Records, Condemned, the group felt as though their chance was at hand to show the world that CONFESSOR was unlike anything else. Unfortunately, record label partnerships and politics forced CONFESSOR off of the U.S. leg of "Gods of Grind" in favor of a more "happening" act. Ongoing struggles with the label led to lineup changes that altered the band's trajectory, and eventually they folded before seeing the mid-'90s. Luckily, over the years CONFESSOR's controversial-yet-pioneering sound became accepted and adored by many in the metal community, ultimately leading to a reunion and follow-up album in 2005. Originally issued in early-2013, Uncontrolled collects all three of CONFESSOR's early demo cassettes onto one CD. These are the recordings that helped the band get signed to Earache Records in 1990, and led to the eventual release of the now-groundbreaking Condemned album. In lieu of the 2013 DVD, this revised edition of Uncontrolledre-remastered by Jamie King Audiofeatures an updated tracklist that includes a previously unreleased radio broadcast recorded live on 88.1 WKNC's Chainsaw Rock in 1989, plus an expanded 20-page booklet with lyrics. As THE HORDE OF TORMENT, the group issued three demos between 1989 and 1991, demonstrating a brand of energetic thrash metal that had the songs and the drive to succeed on a larger scale. However, despite all of the attention received from the metal press of their era, THE HORDE OF TORMENT never secured a record deal, relegating their recordings to becoming cult favorites on the tape-trading circuit. Fan demand finally led to a proper Divebomb Records reissue, Distorted Recollections, in 2015. Years in the making, Distorted Recollections compiled THE HORDE OF TORMENT's Product of a Sick Mind and Inherit the Sin demos, the 1987 Infected demo recorded as PESTILENCE, plus additional rare bonus tracks, before eventually selling out. One of the most-requested represses for Divebomb, a new-and-improved edition of Distorted Recollections is now here. In addition to all of the studio recordings presented in 2015, the live and rehearsal tracks have been replaced by a brand-new remix of 1991's Inherit the Sin demo, resulting from a new transfer off the original multi-track reel. The master reel for Product of a Sick Mind was also run, but apparently suffered a severe magnetic event at some point over the last three decades, with only one song (included herein) surviving unscathed. The group includes singer/guitarist Gabriel Johns (Shelter, FiDo), guitarist Loren Molinare (the Dogs, Little Caesar, Cruzados), guitarist Mike Gavigan (the Blessings), bassist Peter Downing (Adam Sandler Band, Jail Guitar Doors), and drummer Brian Irving (Gilby Clarke, Chris Spedding, Pat Todd & the Rankoutsiders). Wild & Restless is the follow-up to the Slamdinistas' 2022 debut, Shoot for the Stars. The band supported that album with west coast shows, as well as venturing to New York and New Jersey for the first time. The album was quick to win accolades. In a review for The Big Takeover Magazine, Michael Toland wrote, "While the musicians create a backdrop of melodic, country-and-blues-inflected grit rock, Johns comes off like a survivor of a hard life, and his tunes sound like declarations of the joys of coming out of the other side of something other than paradise." The album's focus single, "Brand New Day," enjoyed rotation on Little Steven's Underground Garage channel on SiriusXM. As for their band name, Molinare explains, "Besides the great play on words related to the Clash, it tips its hat to anarchy in a political sense. It's a powerful name that projects what we envision as our sound."

KYD WOLF, ANI - THE LAST STEPS OF MAN-UN-KIND

Ani Kyd has been a member of the Alternative Tentacles roster since 2005 and in 2016 she became Ani Kyd Wolf. She started out in the 1990s as the fierce lead singer for the punk band Rumble Fish, then guitarist and vocalist for the grunge style female-fronted group Spank Machine with Gerry Jenn Wilson. Ani has played in various bands in the Vancouver area for over 30 years and in that time has played with some incredible musicians along the way: Gene Hoglan, Byron Stroud, Brian Goble, John Card and so many more. Ani played guitar for THOR in the early 2000s and is on THOR's 2003 album "Triumphant" as well as being in many of THOR's videos. She has sung back up vocals on a Jello Biafra album or two and in 2005 she released her first album on Alternative Tentacles called Evil Needs Candy Too. She then released two more albums: Past Demons in 2011 and Entangle in 2014. On Aug 15th 2023 A.T. released Ani's fourth album, the thirty-year old recording of Spank Machine Spank You Very Much. This was a tribute album to the late Gerry Jenn Wilson. In April of 2023 Ani was invited to play acoustic guitar for Ministry on the Ministry / Gary Numan / Front Line Assembly tour. Ani's other projects include BOOTS with Al Jourgensen and Royal Strays with Don Binns and Don Short produced by Dave Ogilvie. The Last Steps Of Man-Un-Kind is Ani's 5th album on A.T. This powerful album was co-written and co-produced by the diverse and talented Marc L'Esperance. Many great guest musicians including Canadian bass guitar legend Don Binns and award winning indigenous singer Sandy Scofield grace this album.

Moore and Shusha Guppy Available on vinyl for the first time since its original release. Musically encompassing Persian-flavoured and folk-tinged instrumentals and Farsi-language a-capellas. G.T. Moore is a singer and songwriter whose career stretches back to the late 60s when he was a member of folk band Heron. In the mid-70s he formed G.T. Moore and the Reggae Guitars. Later in his career, he would work with the likes of Lee Perry, Johnny Nash and Poly Styrene. After 50 years in the music business, Gerald (G.T.) is still effortless bridging musical genres. Shusha Guppy, born in Tehran, was a talented writer, editor, songwriter, and singer. Between 1971 and 1995, she recorded over ten albums of both Persian and Western folk songs.
